1. Choose a Suitable Surface

  • Flat and level
  • Clean and dry
  • Concrete, garage, or patio

Avoid uneven or wet areas to ensure a smooth and stable skating surface.

2. Unpack & Prepare

  • Lay tiles flat for 30 mins
  • Let them adjust to temperature
  • Remove any dust or debris

This step helps improve performance, especially for outdoor setups.

3. Connect the Tiles

  • Start from a corner or wall edge
  • Align tongue and groove
  • Follow the arrow direction

Press firmly or use a rubber mallet to lock tiles into place.

4. Work Row by Row

  • Complete one row at a time
  • Ensure each tile is fully locked
  • Check alignment as you go

Do not force tiles—adjust positioning if needed.

5. Edge Trimming (Optional)

  • Cut tiles to fit edges or obstacles
  • Use a jigsaw or circular saw

For permanent setups, consider adding edge guards or ramps.

6. Clean the Surface

  • Wipe with a soft cloth or mop
  • Remove dust and debris

Your rink is now ready for skating, stickhandling, and training.

MAINTENANCE TIPS

To maintain your CA Hockey tiles, clean them with warm water and a mild detergent every 1–2 weeks. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive scrubbers. For those following the ice rink installation guide, it's important to cover your outdoor setups during heavy rain, snow, or prolonged sunlight to extend their lifespan when you install synthetic ice.
